Matt Mora made me feel like there was a friendship every time we spoke or texted. At first he didn't take my case so I went with someone else, two years later after that terrible firm was trying to convince me to accept a bad settlement I called him for a second opinion and he explained everything they should have done and everything he could do and I immediately switched lawyers. I decided to choose Michael Burgis for my case not just because of the 15% fee that would be applied only if we won, but primarily due to this initial call with Matt Mora.During my meeting with Matt at the Michael Burgis offices, he listened to my situation, clearly explained the process of moving forward, answered all my question, addressed any concerns and then provided a potential time line of when additional information required of me was needed and when we would most likely hear back. If I could give 10 stars I would. I hardly do reviews unless I’m extremely pleased or displeased. My mood is through the moon to say the least. From the day I had my accident the team at Michael Burgis were phenomenal. My case worker Yecenia immediately put me in treatment with the best doctors. She always answers the phone and if she is busy she will always call you back or email same day. I can only imagine how hard that is with dozens of clients. My chiropractor was amazing in fact he was so good I still go to him privately for maintenance as I do Judo and MMA. His adjustments make you feel like a new person every time. Anytime I wasn’t able to drive due to pain they provided me with an uber. As far as compensation goes they over delivered. My lawyer Sean went above and beyond to make sure I got paid what I deserve. He spoke to me in detail every step of the way. I honestly was not expecting what I got and I’m beyond happy with my compensation. I’m currently in trucking school so I have more than enough to allow me to focus solely on school until I’m done. Within 2 business days I met with him at his office to review my case. While speaking to Matt I instantly recognized I made the right move by contacting him. Where do I began.I had a major accident at one of the top Fortune 500 companies in America. When the accident happened I tried to work closely with the company to receive all of the medical attention that was needed. After being told that certain medical procedures where needed in order for me to recover speedily, each procedure was requested to the company and then denied. The company's doctors would then appeal the denial, only to be denied again. After two therapist, four doctors and two specialists from the companies list of doctors where denied making the same request for specific medical attention, I then knew it was time for me to take matters into my own hands.I really didn't know where to begin, because in over 40 years of being employed I had never had to embark up on such a task so I kept it real simple and did research into some of the top workers comp attorneys in Southern California.
